Phil Spector’s defence team says no, no, no
Spec’s lead attorneys told judges that they were quitting the job last Weds. The retrial will be delayed by several months until a new crack team is formed.
So what did the quitters have to say….?
Reuters tells us that lead attorney Roger Rosen said: “he was leaving the case in part because, after the first five-month trial, he needed to turn his attention to other clients. He said Spector, 67, also wanted the “fresh perspective” of a new defense team.”
Here’s Spec
thinking those very words, “fresh perspective”:
Or, perhaps “fresh ammunition.” Or, even, “fresh weave like Eve”? Yeah, he’s totally thinking about wigs there. Also, pop over here for a rather sultry, brooding blonde look. That’s got one vote from me for the first day of retrial!
The prosecution, on the other hand, are still sticking with the little “history of brandishing firearms at women while drunk” thing. The 10-2 jury deadlock suggests that they may be onto something here.
