Good news for those Londoners looking for an un-quiet weekend: Pete Doherty has escaped jail after admitted driving offences and possession of crack cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis. He could be in a car near you tonight!
No news on whether he managed to fit the entire stash into that hat. However, LOTS of news on his four-month suspended sentence (it’s this week’s Kringe) in the papers today. He’ll avoid jail if he’s a good boy for the next two years.
Hm. Easy.
Much more than anyone wants to know, after the jump.

Deposed Lib Dem leaders, Bhutto assassination attempts in Pakistan, oil prices hitting $90 a barrel… it’s been a quiet week - apart from this enormous bombshell of course: Kate Moss Joins Bang Gang (!) Read on for much, much more on this piece of forehead furniture…

In the mood for a Friday fairytale children? Get comfortable. Okay, let’s begin.
This is a heart-warming tale of an “articulate and classy” girl and her search for prince charming…
Question is: What would you do to get to “central park west”? Which I’m guessing means Dagenham or something in London terms, because $500k is going to get her nothing over here. £245k. Keep dreaming love.
A modern love story after the jump.

This makes it in on the headline and the “animal-head-in-can-o’-beans” scenario we’ve all come to know and love.
“The mouse probably stuck its head up while the green beans were being harvested.”
Don’t click if you’re eating… especially if you’re eating manky-looking beans…

I was actually going to go with “Oktoberfest reveller stuck in chimney for 12 hours” (thank you Reuters), but claustrophobic shenanigans are no laughing matter, people, no matter how much beer was sunk.
Head first in chimney and everything - that’s MRI-scan-unfunny. The poor dude was just drunk - it could happen to anyone. Remember, don’t take the roof route home after imbibing heavily.
The American President making a grammatical gaffe however? That’s good enough for the Friday Funday spot…
